So you are planning a trip to St Petersburg and are needing a list of things to do! Rather then just giving you a list of the St Petersburg beaches, I will list some of the most popular theaters and activities in St Petersburg that not all of the travel sites are aware of. Beaches, restaurants and night time activities will also be included so after a long day of exploring you can relax at a nice waterside cafe or catch a play at one of theaters in town.

St Petersburg has plenty of parks and lots of waterfront parks for visitors to enjoy. If you are spending any time downtown you will notice that down by the waterfront there are several parks where you can enjoy a nice lunch and view the boats in the downtown marina at the same time.

Vinoy Park is one of the most popular because it is host to many events in St Pete including "Taste Of Pinellas" and "Ribfest". You can find it located just north of downtown St Petersburg by the Vinoy hotel on the water. There are also tennis courts and a community swimminig pool in this general area.

Fort Desoto is a great park located on the beaches of the Gulf Of Mexico. Beautiful sugar white sand and loads of places to barbeque and have family events. This park and beach has been on the best beaches in America list several times. There is also camping in the close vicinity. The Gulf beach park is located close to St Pete Beach and off of the Pinellas Bayway in South St Petersburg Fl.

Sawgrass Park is a fun place to visit and have a picnic. You can enjoy a wide variety of wildlife by walking the nature trails and visiting the lookouts where sea life can be spotted. There are many alligators in this park and seeing them is fairly common. You can bring pets but make sure to keep them on a leash at all times. The park is located off of 62nd Ave North and approximately 25th St. N. in St Petersburg.

The southern most beach in the area and also the most beautiful. Rated as one of the counties best consistantly. A beautiful park and camping is also available here. A few miles down the road from stores so come prepared and bring your bbq gear.

• Gulfport Beach

This beach is located in the small suburb of Gulfport Fl. This is a southern neighborhood location in St Petersburg. Nice little beach with a fishing pier. Also several beach bars and restaurants.
